I donate to Wedu because I believe that the world would be an infinitely more peaceful place if more women leaders were in positions of power and influence. I have witnessed firsthand how Wedu’s comprehensive model, which includes supporting women to achieve their education goals, whilst creating a supportive community of mentors, allies, and peers, creates a lifelong impact for women leaders and the communities they are a part of.

Together with Wedu, we were able to provide 60 young women food security leaders with journalism skills training, allowing them to co-create The RICE zine – collection of stories anchored in their lived experiences in the ASEAN context. The collaborative process that Wedu facilitated to create this zine not only allowed the women to tell their stories but also gave them the chance to work with women from across the region, strengthening their professional networks and fostering a sense of solidarity and care.

Sunline Foundation partnered with Wedu because of their transformative impact on women leaders in South and Southeast Asia. Through our grant, we are ensuring that women leaders reach their education goals. Through our unrestricted donation, we are contributing to Wedu’s core operational sustainability.
