Apply to the ISA programme and receive up to 5,000 USD to cover costs relating to your studies. ISAs cover academic degrees, vocational training, online courses, non-degree programmes, skills workshops and certifications.
Read through our ISA information deck. Review the eligibility criteria and familiarise yourself with how Income Sharing Agreements (ISAs) work.
Fill and submit the funding application form along with a budget form.
Check your email for any follow-up questions from our funding team and respond promptly.
If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to a 30-minute screening interview. This is an opportunity for us to understand your funding needs, and answer your questions about ISAs.
If you progress further, you will attend a 30-minute exploration call. During this call, we will discuss your changemaking aspirations and leadership potential.
Choose the terms of your ISA contract, including the percentage of future income and the number of years for contributions. Complete the required steps, such as transferring US$2 to demonstrate your ability to contribute and providing contact details for your references.
Once approved, you will sign the ISA contract, and receive your funding.
You only contribute when you can afford it, helping you focus on your studies and career development.
Your contributions to the ISA programme are re-distributed to other women seeking education funding, supporting more women and their leadership aspirations.
Wedu offers guidance and resources to help you succeed, beyond just financial support.
Alongside funding, we provide wrap-around services, including lifelong access to a community of mentors, training and other career development support.
The ISA programme fosters a culture of leadership, enabling you to invest in your future while supporting others.
You do not need to be a Wedu Community Member to apply. However, we require that you successfully complete the free Introduction to Leadership (ITL) course to proceed with your ISA approval process. You can complete the course during the application process. You will need approximately 16 hours to complete the ITL course.
Currently, the maximum amount that can be disbursed to any woman via ISA is US$ 5,000. If your original ISA amount is less than that, you may be able to apply later for refinancing in order to receive more funding. Total funding cannot exceed USD 5,000. Please note that your engagement with Wedu, your contributions history, and other factors will be considered before we refinance your studies.
During your studies, you will make US$2 monthly contributions to build your regular contribution habit. The accumulated monthly contributions before graduation will be deducted from your first monthly contribution after graduation.
For example if you earn US$500 after graduation and agreed to make 10% of your monthly income, your first monthly contribution will be US$50. Since you have already contributed US$24 during your 1-year study period, the amount will be deducted from US$50 to U$26 (50-24). Following this, your second and future monthly contribution will be US$50 as long as you earn the same amount.
When you earn income after graduation (whether through part-time, full-time, or freelancing), you will start contributing by informing the Wedu team about the nature of your employment. You will continue to make a US$2 contribution during your search for employment or further studies.
You will stop making contributions under two conditions.
Therefore, it’s possible that your pay-it-forward contributions after graduation can be more or less than the original ISA amount.
